My awards for the 1st half of 2022 – what they ACTUALLY mean.

Those that know me, know that I’m not big on self-promotion.  Having said that, I understand the irony of saying that directly after showing awards with my name (and picture) on them.  Here’s the thing.  The first half of 2022 saw the market go from crazy to normal (even slower than normal in some areas) in a matter of weeks.  On top of other smaller raises, we had not one but two huge raises in interest.  The first was the highest in 20 years, the second was the highest in 24 years.  Inventory kept increasing, while demand was decreasing (as buyers were wondering what the heck is going on.)  While this was a challenge for my business, and I was hoping for a higher award than this, please understand that the REAL challenge was for my clients.  I sell homes regularly; my clients do not.  The amount of fortitude, inner strength, courage, composure, and (as any realtor can appreciate) plain simple patience, that my clients displayed, was amazing.  While I saw other people panicking, freaking out, and turning on each other, all of my clients showed themselves to be well “above the fray.”  So, while I was shooting for a higher award (forgive my stubornness,) this award…and most any others I get, should really go to my clients.  I can honestly say that I did everything humanly and professionally possible, to service all of them.  They, in turn, should know how much easier they made it.  My award = their award.  A heart-felt “kudos” to all of my amazing clients this year.
